Q: What is a filter?
A: A filter is an option in your email account that has options to sort and filter certain emails into different folders. Some of these folders are referred to as bulk mail folders. You may want to look there.

A: For Yahoo based email you must first have adobe reader. The attachment will show right after the sender's name. It uses an icon of a paperclip to denote an attachment. Simple click on the paperclip to open the attachment. Yahoo will bring up a new window with a link that syas, "scan and download attachment". Click that link and it will lead you to a new windown that alerts the receiver that there is no virus detected. Then click on the link that says "download attachment". If you have adobe reader this file will open automatically.

Q: How to tell if attachments are blocked in Outlook Express?
A: You can tell if yor e-mail attachments are being blocked if you have a message at the top of email message that reads: Outlook Express removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your email.

Q: How to Disable the Unsafe File List Option?
A: To turn off the Unsafe File List option in Outlook Express, perform the following steps:
  • 1. Open Outlook Express
  • 2. Click Tools on the menu bar at the top
  • 3. Click Options in the dropdown window (The Options window will appear)
  • 4. Click the Security tab (The Security options screen will appear)
  • 5. Click the selection box to remove the check from "Do no allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus under the virus Protection section.

    A: When you have the document open in adobe go to-----File----- Print Setup----- And change the paper orientation from portrait to landscape.

    Q: How do I open this file on a MAC
    A: By default Mac OS X will open a PDF with the application Preview. This will result in a garbled document. You must have Adobe Reader installed (it may be pre-loaded) and CRTL-Click on the pdf file and select Open with Adobe reader. Adobe version 5 should work. If you need adobe 6.0 we have included a link in the original email to download it for free.

    A: Left click on your start menu. View all programs. And make sure yours reads Adobe Reader 6.0.

    Q: Why is the email attachment not a PDF file?
    A: If you are using aol, aol software may change the file to a .MIM file to protect you. You can change this option in your account preferences.

    Q: I have a free email account why have I have not received the email?
    A: You may be over the limit in your account. The file and attachment we are sending you may be larger that then space you have available. Delete some emails and request your document to be resent

    Q: Why does the link to download Adobe 6 not work?
    A: Sometimes particularly long links are divided across two lines in an e-mail program - this means that clicking on the link will not always allow the user to navigate to the correct Website. To ensure that the download page can be accessed correctly, please highlight the entire link with your mouse, right click, and then select "Copy". Instead of using your mouse, you can also copy the link by clicking "Ctrl" + "C" and then paste it using "Ctrl" + "V". Make sure that the link doesn't contain any line breaks. Then paste the entire link into the address bar of your Web browser and press enter.
